Kansas State transfer DB Noah King commits to Colorado

Former Kansas State defensive back Noah King has committed to Colorado out of the NCAA transfer portal, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett. King will have four years of eligibility remaining for Coach Prime and company in Boulder.
King never played a snap for the Wildcats, as he was a part of the 2025 recruiting class and will be an incoming true freshman this fall. Coming out of the high school level, King was the No. 271 overall player in this past recruiting cycle according to the On3 Industry Rankings, which is a proprietary algorithm that compiles ratings and rankings from all four primary recruiting media services. He was also the No. 33 cornerback in his class, and No. 11 player out of Ohio.
His commitment comes after Colorado head coach Deion Sanders addressed his team’s secondary as one of his main targets in the transfer portal this offseason. Following his comments, the Buffaloes went out and nabbed former Auburn safety transfer Terrance Love, who has two more years of eligbility, out of the portal. Now, King joins the fray as a highly-touted incoming freshman.
“Let’s start one tremendous defensive tackle, another linebacker or two, two safeties, probably three [cornerbacks], one receiver that’s a grown man, that’s a do,” Sanders said after Colorado’s spring game. “[A] couple running backs, tight end, maybe a guard, [offensive] tackle, maybe two centers. I think we got half of that already. You guys just ain’t heard about it.”
Colorado will kick off its 2025 regular season against Georgia Tech on Friday, Aug. 29 inside Folsom Field, where King will make his collegiate debut. With Sanders looking to add even more names to the roster before the summer, it remains to be seen what his offense and defensive units will look like come the fall.
