Travis Hunter posts after receiving degree at Colorado graduation

It’s been a busy few months for two-way star Travis Hunter. After winning the Heisman Trophy in December, Hunter has prepared for the NFL Draft and has been selected second overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars. Now, he’s added to that list of accomplishments by graduating from college.
After receiving his degree at graduation from Colorado, Hunter recorded himself and some friends. In the video, the group celebrates their graduation.
“What’s up, Buff Nation,” Hunter says in the video. “It’s your boy, Trav. Your boy’s out here graduating, man.”
Hunter began his college journey at Jackson State in 2022. He’d spend one season there before following head coach Deion Sanders to Colorado. There, he spent two seasons as one of the best-known college football players in the country, leaving following his junior season of eligibility to make the jump to the NFL.
Despite that transfer, Hunter was still able to graduate with his degree quicker than the average student takes to get theirs. Those three seasons were clearly put to good use, which isn’t always the case for student-athletes.

Now, Hunter will turn his attention to the NFL, where he’s expected to play both sides of the ball with the Jacksonville Jaguars. After trading up to get him second overall, it’s clear that Jacksonville is excited for what he’s going to be able to bring to their team.
Travis Hunter’s father shares heartfelt message for son after being picked in 2025 NFL Draft
The NFL Draft was the culmination of a long journey for Travis Hunter. It was made more special by his father, Travis Hunter Sr., being able to attend the event in person. That came after a court granted him permission to travel to Green Bay to attend the NFL Draft.
Ahead of the NFL Draft, Hunter Sr. recorded a video message for his son. In it, he praised the work effort that Hunter has put forward.
“Hey, Trav. I wanted to congratulate you on the journey that you’ve been on, and I always knew you would be here, because I’ve never once seen you miss practice since you was four years old. I love that drive about you. Now, the big day done came, and I don’t know if I’m gonna cry or not, but you shocked me with this one, being the top five pick,” Hunter Sr. stated. “But I love you, and I’m happy I get to spend this time with you.”
