4-star guard Zion Cruz commits to DePaul
Donda Academy four-star guard Zion Cruz has committed to DePaul as first reported by ZAGSBLOG.
Cruz, who is originally from Hillside, N.J., was one of the top uncommitted players in the 2022 cycle.
“I will be taking my talents to DePaul,” Cruz told ZAGSBLOG. “They were on me really heavy since freshman year and I had a talk with Coach Stubbs and it went great. Me and him got a great relationship and I just felt like that’s the right place.”
He is the second commit in the Blue Demons class along with Omaha (Neb.) St Andrews School three-star point guard Preston Murphy Jr.

He is also the second-best player from the state of New Jersey after South Orange (N.J.) St. Peters Prep four-star guard Mark Armstrong, who is committed to Big East foe Villanova.
