Duke outfielder AJ Gracia enters NCAA transfer portal

Duke outfielder AJ Gracia entered the NCAA transfer portal, On3 has learned. He spent two seasons with the Blue Devils before opting to explore his options.
This past season, Gracia hit .293 across 60 games for Duke. He hit 15 home runs, drove in 54 runs and drew 57 walks this year. His on-base percentage was .449 and had a slugging percentage of .558.
Over the course of his career, Gracia had 29 home runs, 112 RBI and a .299 batting average. He has two years of eligibility left after helping Duke to a 41-21 record and to the NCAA Super Regional.
The awards list is long for Gracia, even just singling out 2025. He was All-ACC Second Team as an outfielder and was named to the Golden Spikes Preseason Watch List, as well as the Bobby Bragan National Collegiate Slugger Watch List.

In 2024, Gracia was a Perfect Game First Team Freshman All-American, on the NCBWA Freshman All-American First Team, Norman Regional Team, an All-ACC Third Team Outfielder and on the All-ACC Freshman Team. He also broke the freshman home run record (14) and freshman RBI record (58)for Duke.
Gracia started all 60 games he appeared in, scoring 56 runs, collecting 67 hits and 28 extra base hits (14 doubles, 14 home runs). He led the team in walks with 48 on the season, moving into fifth all-time in a single season. He also posted an on base percentage of .440 and a slugging percentage of .559 in his rookie campaign.
Gracia was ranked as the No. 1 outfielder in the state of New Jersey and the No. 5 overall prospect in the state, per his Duke profile. At Ranney High School, he was three-time 1st team All Shore Conference, two-time All-State for New Jersey, the NJ.com, New Jersey Player of the Year, PBR New Jersey Player of the Year and the NJ Athletics Player of the Year.
