2025 Four-Star QB Austin Simmons commits to Florida

Four-star quarterback Austin Simmons of Pahokee (FL) High announced his commitment to Florida Tuesday morning.
The 6-foot-3, 195 pounder chose the Gators over Miami, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Louisville, and others.
Simmons on why he chose Florida
“What made Florida stand out was the love from the program itself,” Simmons said. “Seeing these amazing coaches do their thing at the Spring practices, it just felt like it could be home. The vibe from the coaching staff and players too was great. Also, seeing what goes on behind the scenes with the QBs and seeing their lifestyle at Gainesville is what made me feel so good about UF. I feel like I could make some good things happen at the Ville.”
Relationship with coaching staff
“I am closest with Coach O’Hara and of course Coach Napier,” Simmons said. “We really talked about football and how much of a fit I could be at the University of Florida.”
