Class of 2024 DL Michai Boireau decommits from Florida

Class of 2024 defensive lineman Michai Boireau of Fairburn (GA) Creekside High announced his decommitment from Florida Monday morning.

The 6-foot-5, 360 pounder had been committed to the Gators since June.

Boireau sent a statement to On3 concerning his decommitment:

I would like to start by thanking the University of Florida, and its staff for blessing me and my family with a great opportunity. I really Appreciate Coach Spencer and Coach James for recruiting me. 

After talking to my family and loved ones and lots of consideration. I will be Decommitting from the University of Florida. 

This is a huge decision and the most important thing is I find the best place academically and athletically. Following me decommitting my recruitment is 100% open.

The Peach State defensive lineman holds a total of 30 offers.

Boireau ranks as the No. 717 player according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also tabs in as the No. 67 defensive lineman and the No. 83 player in the state of Georgia.
