Florida's Keyontae Johnson has still not been cleared to return to court

In the Florida Gators’ matchup against Florida State on December 12th, star forward Keyontae Johnson collapsed on the floor and was taken to a hospital. Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports tweeted on Tuesday saying that Johnson has not yet been cleared for physical activity.
A timeline on Johnson’s return to Florida remains unclear
Details about the specifics of Johnson’s condition have not been released. For now, he is attempting to make a return to basketball. According to Rothstein, that might have to wait.
“Florida’s Keyontae Johnson has still not been cleared for any physical activity, per a school spokesman,” Rothstein tweeted. “Johnson averaged 16 PPG and 4.5 RPG in four games last season before collapsing on December 12th against Florida State.”
Johnson can’t participate in physical activity until he gets more clarity on what caused his collapse
Edgar Thompson of the Orlando Sentinel said in July that until the possibility of a heart malfunction is ruled out, physical activity is out of the picture for Johnson.

“That’s why they’re doing tests, that’s why it’s longer than expected,” Johnson said. They just don’t know. They don’t know if it was my heart or it could be something else. It was just a freak incident. They’re just trying to figure it out to make sure I’m fine before they clear me.”
As he waits for clearance on a return to basketball, Johnson vows that he will play basketball again. He doesn’t know when that might come, but he isn’t ready to give up on the sport he loves. Johnson isn’t sure when that return could begin, and he doesn’t know where it might take place.
“I don’t know if it will be here, but I’m for sure going to play basketball again,” Johnson said. “Just taking it day by day, going to see doctors and everything. They really haven’t given me a timeline yet.”
