Florida offensive tackle Marcus Mascoll plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal, according to On3’s Pete Nakos. He spent two years with the program.

Mascoll did not make any game appearances across his two seasons. He’ll have three years of eligibility remaining. Mascoll was also named to the SEC First Year Academic Honor Roll in 2024-25.

As a member of the Class of 2024, Mascoll was a four-star recruit out of Atlanta (Ga.) South Gwinnett, according to the Rivals Industry Ranking. He was the No. 45 overall prospect in the state, the No. 26 offensive tackle in the class and the No. 384 overall prospect in the class.

Florida loses Marcus Mascoll to transfer portal

Mascoll was the latest player to join the growing exodus at Florida. It’s to be expected with new coach Jon Sumrall coming in after the College Football Playoff.

But the biggest news had to be star QB DJ Lagway planning on entering the portal. He released a statement about his decision to leave after two years.

“First and foremost, I want to thank God for every blessing he has place over my life,” Lagway said. “I am truly grateful for the opportunity to have been part of such an incredible program here at the University of Florida. To my family – your unwavering support means the world to me. I would not be the man or the athlete I am today without your love, guidance and sacrifice.

“To me friends and teammates – thank you for the brotherhood, the memories, and the bonds we’ve built over these past two years. I will carry those moments with me for a lifetime. To me coaches, the athletic training staff and every member of the University of Florida community – thank you for pouring into me, believing in me and showing me nothing but love and support throughout my time in Gainesville. After much prayer, reflection and thoughtful consideration, I have decided to enter the transfer portal.”
