Florida offers 4-star North Carolina QB commit Bryce Baker

Kernersville (N.C.) East Forsyth four-star quarterback Bryce Baker has been committed to North Carolina since just over a year ago.
A year later and on the heels of an Elite 11 FInals appearance, other power conferences continue to chase Baker’s commitment.
Baker announced that Florida extended an offer on Tuesday. The Gators do not currently have a quarterback committed to their eight-man class.
Despite the Florida offer, Baker remains “locked in” with the Tar Heels.
“I definitely say the love from the coaching staff and aspect of development,” Baker said at the On3 Elite Series of why he gave UNC his pledge. “That was big for me going into the recruiting process. Making it to the next level and I feel like UNC can provide that opportunity above what other schools offered in my opinion.”

He ranks No. 191 nationally and No. 17 among quarterbacks in the 2025 On300.
Baker participated in the Elite 11 Finals in Los Angeles last month and earned No. 8 overall honors from On3 for the event.
“Bryce Baker turned in one of the better 7-on-7 showings on Day 3 at the Elite 11 Finals, as we charted him on target on 19 of 25 passes for five touchdowns,” On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power wrote. “The North Carolina pledge did a great job of finding open receivers and delivering catchable passes that allowed for maximum yards after catch. Baker also was a Top Performer on Day 1, showing a strong downfield arm.
“Baker’s combination of physical tools and multiple strong showings this off-season have him looking like an ascending prospect entering his senior season at Kernersville (N.C.) East Forsyth.”
