With the addition of a second top-150 prospect on Sunday, Billy Napier’s Florida Gators jumped two spots to No. 10 in the 2025 On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Fort Valley (Ga.) Houston County four-star interior offensive lineman Peyton Joseph chose the Gators over Tennessee and Florida State. He is the nation’s No. 123 overall prospect and No. 5 interior offensive lineman in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Joseph has been to Florida four times, including for the Gators’ game against Tennessee this fall.

“That is really when Florida moved up,” Joseph told On3. “I talked to my mom after that visit about Florida and I saw it as a fit. I saw the team, I saw the offense, I saw how everyone worked together and I left that visit knowing Florida was the school.”

Florida’s culture and academics pushed the Gators over the finish line for Joseph.

“The main reasons I chose Florida are the education they offer because I am big on academics, the culture created by the tradition of the school and the tradition of the fans and the bond between the team and the players,” Joseph said.

“I have been around the team and I love how they hang together, how they are close with one another and that made a big impact on me. They all work together, it is a family culture and I love how the full team is bonded together. That is something I want to be around.”

More on Florida recruiting

Joseph is the fourth recruit to join Florida’s 2025 recruiting class. He joins Tallahassee (Fla.) James Rickards four-star defensive lineman Jalen Wiggins, Tampa Plant four-star running back Waltez Clark and Atlanta Woodward Academy three-star wide receiver Josiah Abdullah.

Wiggins, the nation’s No. 83 overall prospect, pledged to the Gators in mid-January.

“In the end it just came down to wanting to be a leader as well as falling in love with the place from more than just football,” Wiggins told On3. “Florida has always been special and hearing insight from the players on a personal level was huge. It helped me realize that many of them weren’t focused on the staff but the school as a whole, and it’s how they made their decision.”
