Tim Tebow: Every path to victory for Florida runs through DJ Lagway vs. Georgia

Florida freshman quarterback DJ Lagway has shown why he was such a highly-rated prospect at times this year, but he has also had his share of struggles. Lagway will need to be at his best on Saturday when the Gators take on Georgia.
Former Florida quarterback and current ESPN analyst Tim Tebow spoke about the keys to victory for the Gators Saturday morning on SportsCenter. According to Tebow, everything starts with DJ Lagway.
“Well, I think if you look at it as a whole, there are a lot of roads to victory for Georgia. … There’s only a few for Florida and every one of those roads has to go through DJ Lagway,” Tebow said.
Tebow also detailed what in particular Lagway must do in order for the Gators to come out on top.
“His key to the game, it has to start by being a quick decision maker. … Then he has to be a threat in the run game. Then, you’ve got to hit a deep ball at least every quarter,” Tim Tebow said. “I think he’s one of the best deep ball throwers in the country. He has nine completions of 30-plus yards. That’s the second most in the FBS, and he hasn’t even played the whole season. That’s ridiculous.”

It’s also critical for DJ Lagway to protect the football, according to Tebow.
“And one of the keys, maybe the biggest key, is he cannot force it. … It’s not worth it. You have the hopes and the dreams of the team and most of Jacksonville riding behind you. You just can’t force it,” Tebow said. “Those are the keys to the game, and if he kind of plays them out, you never know. Crazier things have happened in this game.”
It would obviously be a huge upset if Lagway and Florida can beat Georgia. Tebow revealed what must take place for that to happen.
