Jordan Travis reflects on journey of his career, how he got to this point

Jordan Travis has improved his game by leaps and bounds since his first day with the Florida State Seminoles.
During an exclusive 1-on-1 interview with Warchant, the Seminoles quarterback took a moment to reflect on his journey, as he has Florida State ready to compete for a national title in 2023.
“I’ve come a long way,” started the Florida State quarterback. “Obviously everyone has seen the process. It wasn’t easy. I couldn’t have done that without Alex Hornibrook, James Blackman. All those guys that helped me along the way. My family, the coaches. Couldn’t do it by myself. So that was a journey, for sure.”
With Travis recognizing his improvement didn’t happen overnight, he gave a ton of credit to Mike Norvell and the Seminoles coaching staff for helping him along the way.
“I would just say the experience over the whole four, five years I was here at Florida State,” Travis responded, asked if there was any turning points he could pinpoint over his collegiate career that molded him. “I wouldn’t say there was one turning point.
“Obviously Boston College going to that, on the first run I had was a touchdown. Obviously that’s the best feeling in the world, running through the back of the end zone on your first touch at your dream school. But yeah, I would say Coach Norvell, and Coach Dillingham coming in, now Coach [Tony] Tokarz’s taking over, I would say is probably the biggest turning point that’s made me who I am today, and the quarterback that I am.”
As you can see, Jordan Travis isn’t forgetting who helped get him to where he is at the moment, and he’ll carry that with him moving forward with the Seminoles.

Jordan Travis’ goal is to win national championship, not Heisman Trophy
Moreover, Jordan Travis has a preference when it comes to accolades at Florida State and within college football: a national championship.
Sure, a Heisman Trophy would be nice, as Travis is one of the popular picks this coming season. But he’d rather win every single game and deliver a title for the Seminoles.
That’s how he explained it on the Preferred Walk On Podcast.
“Yeah it’s a blessing for sure,” Travis said. “Being talked about, especially at that magnitude and how special that award is, it’s a blessing for sure. But, like I said before, man, I’m a guy that wants to win a national championship. I came here to win a national championship.”
Again, Travis couldn’t care less about the personal accolades. Heading into his sixth season, he is focused on the main thing and letting all the other chips fall where they may.
“I never said I’m coming here to win a Heisman. I care about winning the football games. After that, other things will come.”
