4-star DL Christen Miller picks Georgia: "I had to go with my heart"

This race was much closer than many expected it to be. Ohio State was in this. Behind the scenes, the Buckeyes were viewed as the slight favorite not too long ago, but in the end, Christen Miller chose Georgia.
“I had to go with my heart,” Miller told On3. “I fought it for a while and I ran from it, but I couldn’t do that anymore. Ohio State is a great school and I really thought hard about going there, but Georgia is the right place for me.”
The 6-foot-4, 295-pound defensive lineman out of Ellenwood (Ga.) Cedar Grove is the No. 121 prospect in the On3 Consensus. He is more familiar with Georgia than any other school and it feels like home for him in Athens.
“It is family at Georgia. I actually have a cousin that goes to school there, but on the football side, it is family.
“Georgia is home for me. I fought it for a long time, but I have a love for Georgia. The people, the coaches, the players, the vibe, the school – I love it all there.”

Miller went back and forth with this decision until recently. He almost committed at the All-American Bowl less than a month ago. If he would have committed then, it likely would have been to Ohio State.
He took his time and feels good about his decision.
“I am at peace,” Miller said. “Georgia is where I want to be. I can’t worry about hurting feelings or making a decision anyone else wanted me to make. It is my turn and I had to make the best decision for me.
“Georgia has everything I want. I get to be around great people, I get to play for coaches that will push me, and I get to be part of a special program.
“This couldn’t have worked out any better for me.”
