Elite 2024 Safety Peyton Woodyard commits to Georgia

Elite 2024 safety Peyton Woodyard of Bellflower (CA) St. John Bosco High announced his commitment to Georgia Saturday afternoon.
The 6-foot-2, 195 pounder chose the Bulldogs over Ohio State, Texas, and Oregon.
Woodyard on why he chose Georgia
“What stood out to me was the way they play their defense, it is truly a different brand of football. What led me to commit was not just the football side of things but the academics and I fell in love with the city of Athens and what it has to offer. The coaches are also great; you get to be coached by Fran, Muschamp, and Kirby.”
Relationship with coaching staff
“I’m closest with Fran and I talk to him almost everyday. Also coach Kirby and Muschamp right there, since they deal with safeties.”
Georgia’s record of producing first rounders stood out
“I’m excited and ready coming from a program like Bosco who’s always working to be the best every year. Can’t wait to have that carry over to the next level and get to work.
