Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Stranahan wide receiver Hykeem Williams will visit Georgia this weekend, he announced Tuesday on Twitter.

Williams is the No. 60 overall prospect in the 2023 class, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He ranks as the nation’s No. 10 wide receiver and the No. 13 junior prospect in Florida.

In February, Williams released a top eight that included the Bulldogs, as well as Florida State, Alabama, Miami, Ohio State, Rutgers, Texas A&M, and USC. He recently visited the Trojans and named Georgia a few weeks ago as a school he would like to see for the first time. Georgia coach Kirby Smart watched one of Williams’ basketball games this winter, and he told DawgsHQ that the Bulldogs have made him a priority.

“They came by and stayed for the whole [basketball game] game. I had 26 points and 13 rebounds. It meant a lot, because they’re just coming off of the National Championship,” Williams said. “ … They didn’t have to take their time out of their recruiting to come down and watch my game,” Williams said. “It shows I’m a big priority for them.”

No decision nearing for Hykeem Williams

This is really just the beginning for Williams. He only visited Miami in January and USC this month, and he was only able to attend games at Florida State and Rutgers during the season.

He plans to take his recruiting to the end of the year before enrolling in January.

“I want to take his my official visits during the season,” Williams said. “I want to see the game-day, take in that experience, and then make my decision after the season. It will probably be Signing Day in December, but my decision will definitely not happen until after I take all of my official visits.”

Williams caught 31 passes for 693 yards and six touchdowns in just seven games last fall. He also recorded six sacks and returned an interception 80 yards while playing defense.

As a hooper, Williams led his team to a state championship earlier this month, scoring 20 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in the title game. Williams led the team with 12.2 points and 10.3 rebounds per game this season.
