LOOK: Georgia football posts humorous April Fools Day joke about CFP trophy

It’s April Fools Day and jokes are in the air. While numerous sports teams and athletes have posted jokes on their social media channels throughout the day, the Georgia Bulldogs‘ football squad has now jumped in on the fun.
Taking to their Twitter account on Friday afternoon, the Bulldogs posted a photo of what appears to be their College Football Playoff national championship trophy on the ground and broken. The tweet’s caption reads, “posting because I’m fired anyways.”
Although Georgia has yet to respond with a follow-up tweet to let everyone know that its trophy is indeed not broke, there’s a very slim chance that someone actually broke the trophy. If so, the person who did it is in some serious trouble.
Georgia defeated Alabama, 33-18, in the College Football Playoff national championship to capture its first national title in 41 years and finish the season with a 14-1 overall record.

Kirby Smart shares what he wants to see from quarterbacks at Saturday scrimmage
As the Bulldogs are currently going through their spring practice period, the team is scheduled to have a scrimmage on Saturday. Coming into the scrimmage, Kirby Smart met with the media on Thursday and was asked what he wanted to see out of his quarterbacks while they’re on the field Saturday.
“It never changes with the quarterback guys,” Smart said. “You could come here 10 years from now and it’s going to be the same thing that it was last year – decision making, accuracy, leadership, intangibles. … I mean, great quarterbacks are accurate and they make good decisions. If you can make good decisions and be accurate and you’ve got good football players around them, then you’re going to be a pretty good football player.
“I want to see them execute the offense, make plays with their feet when things break down. There’s going to be some adversity out there, but the good thing is those guys get an opportunity to do that every practice.”
