Georgia DB Justyn Rhett plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal

Georgia DB Justyn Rhett plans to enter the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Rhett shared those intentions with On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Friday.
Rhett spent two seasons in Athens as a redshirt freshman with the Bulldogs. After redshirting with two appearances last season, he appeared in two more this fall on defense for the ‘Dawgs.
In those snaps, Rhett has posted a pair of tackles in his collegiate career while at UGA.
It’s of note that Rhett was also one of the players at Georgia involved in traffic-related incidents. He was not cited for any actions but was involved in a racing incident with DB Joenel Aguero back in mid-February.
Rhett, a Las Vegas native, played high school football at Bishop Gorman. He was the No. 355 overall recruit there as a four-star prospect in the 2023 cycle. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also rated as the No. 40 CB in the class and the No. 3 player out of the state of Nevada.
With this, Rhett is the latest player planning to leave Georgia in the portal. Only three players are officially in for the Bulldogs to this point with DB Julian Humphrey, WR Michael Jackson III, and DL Jamaal Jarrett.
