Georgia HC Kirby Smart visits 2025 4-star WR Cortez Mills

Coaches are out on the recruiting trail in January, and the staff at Georgia is no exception. Bulldogs head coach was on the road Monday visiting Homestead (Fla.) 2025 four-star wide receiver Cortez Mills.
Mills is the nation’s No. 141 overall prospect and No. 19 wide receiver in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 22 recruit in Florida.
The 6-foot-1, 170-pound Mills participated at Battle Miami this weekend — one of the biggest 7-on-7 tournaments of the season. On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons had this to say about his performance:
“Cortez Mills pushed double-digit touchdowns this weekend and was a consistent force,” Simmons wrote. “He flashes strong hands, the ability to catch the ball in traffic and that burst to get separation. He is set to visit Georgia next weekend and schools like Clemson, Florida State, LSU, Miami and Nebraska are on his radar.”

Mills talks Georgia offer
Georgia offered Mills at the start of the high school football season.
“It was around 10 or so. I got a Facetime, and I didn’t recognize the number. Something told me to answer, though. I was just working out at the park,” Mills told DawgsHQ. “I talked to (Georgia support staffer) Coach CJ, and we were talking about football-related stuff. He was asking if I liked slot or outside more. He asked who was reaching out to me. Then, he surprised me and told me I’d been offered by the University of Georgia. It felt great. That was big time. It felt amazing.”
Mills also had this to say about the ‘Dawgs.
“Georgia would be in my top schools for sure. That’s a big school,” he said. “If they keep communicating with me and staying in touch with me like they have, we can make something happen.”
