Jordan Hall injury update: Devastating news emerges on Georgia DL after hurting knee vs. Florida

Georgia defensive lineman Jordan Hall is expected to miss the rest of the season, On3’s Pete Nakos reported. He left the game against Florida with a knee injury and did not return.
Hall went down in the first quarter of the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party game and quickly required attention from the medical staff. He received further evaluation before heading back toward the locker room and, eventually, being ruled out.
Earlier this week, Georgia coach Kirby Smart said Hall would miss time with the injury. He didn’t have a firm timeline at the time he spoke with reporters on Tuesday, though.
“Jordan will be out for some time,” Smart said. “Not sure how long, but he’ll be out for some time. …Jordan is a tough one because that kid’s been through a lot injury-wise. He fought to get back last year by the end of the year and he wasn’t even 100% healthy then. Then he had a good offseason and was really leading and competing and playing well for us. Just a tough injury for him to sustain and we’ll see what the timeline is once we know more later today and tomorrow.”
Hall was a key part of the Georgia defensive front through the first eight games and was putting together a bounce-back year after missing time last season. He had 12 tackles, including two tackles for loss, through his junior campaign in Athens.

Georiga and Florida played in a close game during their annual rivalry game in Jacksonville. The Bulldogs trailed 20-17 in the fourth quarter before Chauncey Bowens broke free for a 36-yard touchdown run with 3:18 to play. That proved to be the difference as UGA came away with the 24-20 victory to improve to 7-1 overall on the year.
Jordan Hall was one of five Georgia players listed as out for this week’s game against Mississippi State. UGA will also be without wide receiver Colbie Young, tight end Ethan Barbour, wide receiver Talyn Taylor and defensive back Kyron Jones for the matchup. Cornerback Demello Jones was listed as questionable as of Thursday night.
Mississippi State is also listing five players as out for the matchup, including linebacker Jett Johnson and defensive lineman Will Whitson. Safety Jahron Manning came in as probable on Thursday’s SEC availability report.
Georgia and Mississippi State will square off as part of a jam-packed Week 11 slate. Kickoff is set for Saturday at Noon ET on ESPN.
