Georgia has landed a commitment from one of the most talented players left in the NCAA transfer portal. New Orleans outfielder and right-handed pitcher Bryce Calloway has committed to the Bulldogs, he announced on his Twitter account.

Calloway is coming off a monster season for the Privateers. He hit .390 at the plate, knocking out 10 doubles and 18 home runs as he drove in a total of 63 runs.

That type of bat will really help a Georgia lineup that has added several of them this offseason. But Bryce Calloway can also offer the occasional appearance on the mound.

In 2025, Calloway made 20 appearances on the mound, working 25.1 innings of action. During that time he struck out 23 batters while walking 11, putting together a 2-2 record and a 4.26 ERA.

Georgia remaining active in transfer portal

While Bryce Calloway’s addition is a big one for the Georgia program, the Bulldogs have been plenty active in the transfer portal this cycle. Earlier in June, the Bulldogs added four new pieces.

Seattle University two-way star Kenny Ishikawa committed to the Bulldogs in early June. The Yokohama, Japan native began his college career at Asia University in Tokyo before making the move to Seattle University.

Ishikawa hit .318 with eight home runs. The .318 batting average led the team. Ishikawa is also a left-handed pitcher. He had a 4.21 earned run average in 2025.

Georgia added to their lineup in hopes of replacing the production of Ryland Zaborowski and Robbie Burnett. New Mexico outfielder Jordy Oriach also announced his decision to transfer to Georgia. He will have one more year of eligibility.

Oriach hit 16 home runs in 2025. He hit .388 and struck out 29 times in his 214 at-bats in 2025.

Georgia also added to its pitching rotation, in New Orleans starter Grant Edwards. The Walker, Louisiana, native will have one more season of eligibility remaining. Edwards was New Orleans’ Friday-night starter in 2025. Edwards has a 4.23 ERA; he struck out 92 batters and had 29 walks in 2025.

Former Tennessee pitcher Andrew Behnke also committed to Georgia. Behnke had a 2-0 record out of the bullpen while finishing the year with a 5.11 ERA across 12.1 innings of work. That came after an impressive sophomore season in 2024 when he went 3-1 with a 3.54 ERA across 28 innings in 23 relief appearances.

On3’s Nick Schultz and Nick Kosko also contributed to this report.
