On3 5-Star Countdown: No. 11, QB Dylan Raiola

On3 has updated its recruiting ranking for the 2024 class after the completion of dozens of offseason camps, as well as events like the Elite 11 Finals and Overtime 7v7 Finals. Buford (Ga.) five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola is the No. 11 overall prospect in the 2024 On300, down from No. 7 overall in On3’s previous rankings.
The latest edition of On3’s 2024 rankings features 15 five-star players, up from 11 in the previous update in April. Of those 15 prospects, seven are already committed to college programs, with five-star wide receiver Cam Coleman and defensive lineman Justin Scott the latest to come off the board to Texas A&M and Ohio State, respectively.
The 6-foot-2.5, 220-pound Raiola committed to Georgia in May after decommitting from Ohio State in December. He officially visited Athens in June after taking multiple trips to see the Bulldogs this spring.

“The relationships that the coaches build with you, they’re going to be genuine,” Raiola told DawgsHQ in May. “When they’re recruiting you, that’s how they are all the time. I’ve seen that firsthand asking the players. The players will say the same thing. Having them around, they don’t care what players – they don’t select their players and who’s around and whatnot.
“…It means a lot because they could have been at home. It’s May. They’ve got their time off, but about 10 or 15 of them decided to stay around and hang out with the recruits.”
Dylan Raiola Scouting Summary
On3 Director of Scouting and Rankings Charles Power writes this about him as a prospect:
“Advanced arm talent with the ability to make a wide variety of high-level throws as a high school signal-caller. Was identified as a top arm talent and quarterback in the 2024 cycle early on in his high school career. Physically developed at around 6-foot-3, 230 pounds. Has continued to add mass later on in his high school career. Owns a natural, loose throwing motion with arm dexterity to deliver off-platform and from multiple arm slots. Showed a deep catalog of throws as a sophomore. Easily drives the ball to all levels of the field. Played both under center and in the shotgun as a junior.
“…Ahead of the curve as a ball-handler and in the quick passing game. Shows good footwork and awareness in the pocket. Capable of creative plays in the face of pressure. Primarily a pass-first quarterback as a junior, not running for many yards and finishing with -82 yards rushing – an anomaly for a top quarterback prospect. Will need to show more mobility and playmaking ability. Transferred to his fourth high school prior to his senior season. The son of 14-year NFL center Dominic Raiola. Also a standout baseball player as a pitcher and catcher.”
