Georgia WR Rara Thomas arrested on felony charge
New Georgia wide receiver Rara Thomas was arrested overnight by UGA police on a felony charge of false imprisonment and a misdemeanor of family violence, according to Athens-Clarke County Jail records.
Rara Thomas, who transferred from Mississippi State to Georgia last month, was arrested overnight on a felony charge of false imprisonment and misdemeanor charge of family violence. Thomas was booked in Athens-Clarke County jail at 4:04 a.m. with no bond set.
Thomas played 19 games with Mississippi State before transferring to Georgia. He finished his time in Starkville with 62 catches, 878 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 14.2 yards per catch.

As a member of the Class of 2021, Thomas was a three-star prospect out of Eufaula (Ala.) High, according to the On3 Consensus when he committed to Mississippi State. He was the No. 31 overall prospect in the state, the No. 113 wide receiver in the class and the No. 769 overall prospect in the class.
