Carrollton (Ga.) four-star tight end Caleb Odom received an offer from Georgia Tech on Tuesday. He announced the news over social media.

Odom is the No. 230 overall prospect and No. 14 tight end in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 35 player in Georgia.

On3 rates Odom higher than other recruiting services, according to the Industry Comparison. Per to the 2024 On300, Odom is the No. 112 overall prospect, No. 6 tight end and No. 18 player in Georgia.

The 6-foot-5, 205-pound pass catcher has received 26 offers. He is looking to play both football and basketball at the next level.

“Playing basketball and football is really big for me,” Odom told On3’s Jeremy Johnson on Aug. 30. “I want to showcase my talent for both in college, so any college that could offer both is definitely up top.”

According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, it is a close race for Odom’s commitment. The Yellow Jackets currently lead for his commitment at 22.2%, while Vanderbilt has the next-best odds for his pledge at 19.4%.

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Georgia Tech currently has one commit in its 2024 recruiting class. Macon (Ga.) First Presbyterian Day School four-star quarterback Jakhari Williams, the No. 117 overall prospect in the On300, chose head coach Brent Key and his staff on Nov. 21.

Odom has an On3 NIL Valuation of $12.7K. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
