For Under Armour, the deal marks a significant step as well. Craig Cummings, VP of the Team Division, highlighted the importance of reconnecting with Georgia Tech.
“Under Armour’s unwavering focus on meeting the evolving needs of athletes remains a cornerstone of our brand’s mission, the same as it did for our Founder and CEO Kevin Plank back in 1996,” Cummings said in the release. “As we mark our 30th anniversary next year, we’re thrilled to team back up with Georgia Tech, our first collegiate client, to experience our commitment to enhancing athletic performance. We are energized by the momentum in Atlanta and look forward to amplifying our presence in the community through meaningful activations and shared purpose.”
Georgia Tech will continue wearing Adidas until its contract expires in 2026, but excitement is already building for the Yellow Jackets to suit up in Under Armour gear. With the program trending upward and opportunities for success at the forefront, the timing of the new partnership couldn’t be better.
For Georgia Tech fans, it marks not only a new beginning with Under Armour but also a sign of where the program is headed. They’re aiming for championships, and now it’ll be up to their teams to bring them home.
