WATCH: Kansas fan drills half-court shot on College GameDay
ESPN College GameDay was inside Allen Fieldhouse, home of the Kansas Jayhawks, on Saturday morning ahead of an intriguing slate in college basketball. While Kansas doesn’t tip off against Kentucky until 6 p.m. ET on Saturday, one fan did not have to wait to begin celebrating.
One fan, Connor Loney, was given the opportunity to shoot a half-court shot in front of the Kansas crowd, a contest that was created by State Farm. If he made one of his shots from half-court, he would earn $19,000. It took the Kansas fan just three attempts to succeed, leading to a hilarious celebration and interview with GameDay host Rece Davis.
The matchup between Kansas and Kentucky should be an intriguing one. Kansas enters the game with a 17-2 record, including a 10-0 mark against the Big 12. Kentucky is currently 16-4 and 2-3 against SEC opponents. Kansas is ranked No. 5, and Kentucky is ranked No. 12.

LaPhonso Ellis and Seth Greenberg both believe that Kansas will come out on top over Kentucky, while Jay Bilas did not make a prediction on GameDay as he is on the call for that game. Greenberg and Bilas both picked LSU to beat TCU, while Ellis picked an upset with TCU coming away with the victory.
For Baylor-Alabama, the crew was yet again split. Bilas and Ellis picked Baylor to win, while Greenberg picked Alabama. It was the same split for Tennessee-Texas, with only Greenberg picking Tennessee to win. Ellis, Bilas, and Greenberg all picked Michigan State to beat Michigan as well, and also predicted that the Kansas City Chiefs would beat the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship to clinch a berth in the Super Bowl.
