Findlay (Ohio) four-star quarterback Ryan Montgomery received an offer from Kentucky. He spent Saturday on a visit to the Wildcats.

Montgomery is the No. 43 overall prospect and No. 3 quarterback in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also the No. 1 player in Ohio.

The 6-foot-5, 210-pound signal-caller holds 19 offers. He is the brother of Ohio State four-star interior offensive lineman enrollee Luke Montgomery

“I told myself that I think I could really narrow this down next year, but after taking all these visits this past summer, it just gave me realization of how hard this decision truly will be,” Montgomery told On3’s Chad Simmons on Sept. 29. “Obviously, I don’t want to rush the decision at all. So I would say I was looking at committing sometime before my senior year. I definitely would like to do that, just so I can have my senior year to myself, not have to worry about anything, just have fun with my guys. But, it could be next year, but I could also really hold off and wait til after my senior year. We just never know.”

Kentucky has no commitments in its 2025 recruiting class. Meanwhile, the Wildcats’ 2023 class is No. 32 in the 2023 On3 Consensus Team Recruiting Rankings, as well as No. 12 in the SEC.

Montgomery has an On3 NIL Valuation of $69K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
