Kentucky releases hype video ahead of Week 5 matchup vs. Florida

Kentucky is ready to go on a Gator hunt. On Friday, the program posted a pregame hype video ahead of the Wildcats’ matchup with the No. 22 Florida on Saturday.
Kentucky enters the matchup still undefeated, most recently taking down Vanderbilt 45-28 in its season opener. The ‘Cats aren’t the only ones who are hot. The Florida Gators will march into Lexington with three-straight wins, including an upset over No. 11 Tennessee in Week 3.
Fans expect a battle. In 2018, Mark Stoops broke Kentucky’s 31-year win drought against Florida. Since then, UK is 2-2 against UF, winning the last two meetings.
The two teams will square off at noon ET on Saturday. The Wildcats are set to sport blue helmets, blue jerseys, and blue pants when they host the Gators at Kroger Field. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
Tim Tebow previews massive matchup
Although Kentucky boasts wins in the programs’ last two meetings, Tim Tebow believes Saturday’s matchup will be a toss-up. After all, the two teams will be vying for position on the SEC East ladder. On Friday, Tebow explained on The Paul Finebaum Show why the game is so important to both teams.
“It’s a really important game for both teams,” Tebow said. “You look at this opportunity in the East: who’s going to really challenge Georgia in the East. Both these teams have a chance. And you’re looking at Missouri, they have another SEC game and they have a chance to be able to be 5-0.

“Every team’s got the opportunity to take that next spot. But this is going to be a really fascinating one because they’re also very similar. Both teams really good running the ball. Both teams really good against the run.”
Tebow is especially excited to watch Florida QB Graham Mertz go to work.
“What they’ve done lately with this two-headed monster at running back and getting Graham Mertz some more experience and into this rhythm,” Tebow said. “Then you’re going up against Kentucky’s front seven, which is the best run defense in the SEC right now statistically. I can’t wait for that matchup.”
The former Heisman Trophy winner also revealed how the teams have a very similar football style, and why the similarities will create a really compelling game.
“Both these teams, they got such similar style,” Tebow said. “They do it in different ways. But it is about ground and pound. It is control the time of possession. It is about stop the running game. Then defensively, it is about getting tips and overthrows and coming up with turnovers. They want to play the same style of football. The styles make the fights and I think this makes a very interesting fight.”
