A Kentucky football player has been accused of sexual assault, according to a report by the Louisville Courier Journal. Running back Jamarion Wilcox had a temporary protective order field against him following an alleged incident on Aug. 20 in Lexington.

According to the Courier Journal, Wilcox was visiting a woman’s residence when he walked into her roommate’s room while the roommate was sleeping. The roommate, the alleged victim, said Wilcox was naked and got into her bed without consent.

He then tried to “forcibly” open her legs. The woman left and found her roommate.

After Jamarion Wilcox refused to leave the roommate’s bed, they called 911. Police then showed up to escort him out, which “he refused to do so for at least 20 minutes.”

The woman then filed a temporary interpersonal protective order against Wilcox. Wilcox has not been charged with a crime in relation to the alleged sexual assault, the Courier Journal reports.

Coach Mark Stoops had previously revealed that Jamarion Wilcox didn’t play in the team’s season opener against Toledo due to a “violation of team rules.” He later revealed that Wilcox’s status has not changed entering this week’s game against Ole Miss.

The Courier Journal reports that Wilcox is also facing two other court issues: a speeding citation and a citation for failure to provide a city license for two dogs he keeps.

Jamarion Wilcox is a redshirt sophomore for Kentucky. He made four starts a year ago, racking up 590 yards on 92 carries (6.6 yards per carry), as well as two touchdowns.

As a recruit, Wilcox was ranked as a three-star prospect and the No. 597 overall recruit in the nation in the 2023 recruiting class. He also checked in as the No. 42 running back in the class and the No. 59 overall player from the state of Georgia, hailing from Douglasville (GA) South Paulding.
