The Kentucky Wildcats are getting back one of their special team’s leaders in punter Colin Goodfellow. Goodfellow decided to enter the transfer portal back in late April. But on Monday, the punner chose to exit the portal and head back to Lexington, KY, for his final season, his super senior season. Goodfellow made the announcement on his decision to return from social media with this message attached to it.

“After a great talk with the coaching staff, I’m happy to announce that I have declared to withdraw from the transfer portal and return to Kentucky for one final season,” wrote Goodfellow via Twitter. “I couldn’t be happier with my decision to come back to my home away from home. It was an easy decision after considering all of the options, and I realized I just have more to give here on and off the field. I am excited to be back for my ‘super senior’ season, and I cannot wait for the best season yet.”

Goodfellow spent the last two seasons at Kentucky but really came into his own last year. The Wildcats’ punter averaged 45.9 yards per punt last season, punting 35 times and achieving a long of 70 yards. In 2020, Goodfellow punted ten times for the Wildcats, averaging 47.7 yards per punt.

4-star safety Avery Stuart sets up Kentucky official visit

Montgomery (Ala.) Alabama Christian Academy four-star safety Avery Stuart has set up an official visit to Kentucky.

He will be visiting the school from June 8 to June 10.

The Wildcats are one of his top six schools, along with Auburn, ArkansasFlorida State, Miami and Michigan State. Stuart has one other official visit set up to Florida State.

“The coaches there all want the best for me,” Stuart told On3. “I saw how the players talk to the coaches. They have a relationship where you can talk to them about anything. That’s something that I like.”

Stuart is the No. 209 overall recruit in the 2023 cycle, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

He is ranked higher in the 2023 On300 ranking, where he makes an appearance as the No. 151 prospect.

Stuart currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $13.7k. The On3 NIL Valuation is an index that looks to set the standard market value for both high school and college-level athletes. The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
