LOOK: Kentucky reveals new blue edition of 1993 throwback jerseys for Alabama game

After six years of the same uniforms, Kentucky Basketball overhauled their look this offseason, going back to a more traditional design for their standard jerseys. They’ve also thrown some new wrinkles into the mix, like a black jersey they wore for a home game earlier in the year in addition to some throwback white jerseys from the 1993 season that they wore in their last two home games.
Well, that trend is continuing as Kentucky hits the road. The ’93 throwbacks got such great reception from the fans that they’re going to keep wearing them, at least against Alabama. So take a look at the new blue edition of Kentucky’s ’93 jerseys that the ‘Cats will don today:
Pretty slick threads, and a wonderful way to honor a 1993 team that included Wildcat legends Jamal Mashburn and Travis Ford, among a number of others.

Two of nation’s best meet as Kentucky faces Alabama
Tennessee may have the best team in the conference right now, but you won’t find more talent on the floor between two SEC clubs. Alabama rookie Brandon Miller, once a big time UK target, has been a revelation, flourishing into one of the best players in the entire country as a center-sized wing with the three-point-shooting confidence of Trae Young. He’s probably a shoo-in for an All-American nomination and would be squarely in contention for the No. 1 pick if not for the existence of French gargantuan Victor Wembanyama.
But Kentucky has one of those too — one of the best players in the country, perhaps the best, in reigning National Player of the Year Oscar Tshiebwe. No game all day features a matchup between two better players. He isn’t a top NBA Draft pick or even in contention for first round selection, but everyone knows the rebounding prowess he possesses.
Should be an exciting one on tap in Tuscaloosa.
