Randall Cobb is currently in his 11th season in the NFL and his ninth with the Green Bay Packers. The former Kentucky Wildcats wide receiver just backed Kentucky coach Mark Stoops in a big way after the Wildcats’ 6-0 start.

Cobb took to Twitter to praise Stoops after Kentucky’s win on Saturday night.

“GIVE COACH STOOPS WHATEVER HE WANTS!” Cobb said.

Through four games with the Packers this season, Cobb has nine receptions for 127 yards and two touchdowns. In his NFL career, Cobb has played in 134 games with 572 receptions, 6,920 yards, and 49 touchdowns. The Packers brought him back in the offseason after Cobb played in Dallas and Houston during the last two years.

Cobb played a big role when he was at Kentucky

Cobb played three seasons at Kentucky before heading to the NFL. Through his three seasons with the Wildcats, Cobb caught 144 passes for 1,661 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also had 228 rushing attempts for 1,313 yards and 22 touchdowns.

Cobb truly did it all for Kentucky, as he also had some experience at quarterback. In his collegiate career, Cobb completed 62 of his 122 passes for 689 yards, five touchdowns, and five interceptions. He also was a dangerous returner. Cobb returned 63 punts for 619 yards and two touchdowns at Kentucky. He also returned 44 kicks for 1,081 yards.

While Kentucky is certainly surging right now and gaining national attention, Stoops isn’t satisfied yet. Kentucky is now bowl eligible, but Stoops wants more. Coming into the year a bowl game was a realistic expectation for Kentucky. Now, it’s the bare minimum as Kentucky is a serious contender in the SEC and is nearing top ten status in the nation.

“My equipment manager TK said he put out some shirts and I think it’s a big push … bowl season campaign. They put them out today, so they got a new t-shirt,” said Stoops. “We want more.”
