In another great baseball game, Louisville defeated Miami 3-2 in Game 3 to advance to the 2025 College World Series in Omaha. It took all three games in the Super Regional to decide it all.

Now, Florida State or Oregon State awaits in the College World Series. But first, a tip of the cap for a tremendous run to this point.

You can see the video of the dogpile below. It’s a celebration that never gets old.

A pivotal moment between Louisville and Miami came in the fourth inning. Zion Rose scored during a fielder’s choice for the Cardinals but there was a potential runner’s interference call, which could’ve preserved a 2-1 lead for the Hurricanes.

“You can be on your feet as long as you go away from the second baseman,” color analyst Gaby Sanchez explained on the ESPN broadcast. “So you can see Davis is running, and as this throw is being made, he deviates away from the fielder. He is not going into the fielder. So because of that, they deem it that he is not blocking or he’s not intruding into that throwing lane.”

Game summary: Louisville wins 3-2, advances to College World Series

Max Galvin got the scoring going in the top of the third inning with a two run blast to give Miami a 2-0 lead over the Cardinals. Zion Rose scored the second of two runs for Louisville in the bottom of the 4th following a review for runner’s interference.

The controversial call didn’t go Miami’s way and things were tied. Eddie King Jr. smacked a double in the bottom of the 7th, driving in Jake Munroe to take a 3-2 lead. It proved to be enough even with a tense 9th inning as Miami had two runners on with just one out. Louisville advanced to the College World Series.

Jake Schweitzer was credited with the win for Louisville while Miami’s Will Smith received the loss. Brennyn Cutts was credited with the save, pitching just a third of an inning and forcing the game-winning fly out.
