Lamothe is ranked as the No. 105 overall prospect in the class of 2023, according to the On3 Consensus — a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Lamothe becomes Maryland’s first commitment to the 2023 class. In 2022, the Terrapins landed three transfers — Jahari Long (0.8 PPG) from Seton Hall, Jahmir Young (19.6 PPG) from Charlotte, and Donald Carey (13.5 PPG) from Georgetown. Also headed to College Park is Noah Batchelor, a three-star sniper from IMG (Fla.) Academy.
Lamothe on his commitment to Maryland
“Maryland showed me love from the beginning and I just felt a home feeling while on campus and hanging with the staff,” Lamothe said to On3. “I feel like it’s a staff that’s going to have my back through thick and thin. They are making an emphasis on bringing in hometown kids and I want to be the start of something great in College Park.”
