On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine favors Maryland for Nyckoles Harbor

According to the latest intel, the battle to land five-star EDGE Nyckoles Harbor of Washington (D.C.) Archbishop Carroll is still in the infant stage. There surely will be more twists and turns before a decision is made.
But heading into March — where visits can start to take place again — the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine says one team is trending in Harbor’s recruitment.
That team? The Maryland Terrapins.
According to the On3 RPM, the Terps have a 52.2% chance of landing Harbor at this point in the process. Maryland is followed by Alabama at 25.4%, Oklahoma at 9.6%, Penn State at 5%, South Carolina at 1.7%, Michigan at 1.7% and North Carolina at 1.6%.
Those numbers are expected to change some over the course of the spring. That’s especially true since Nyckoles Harbor is going to have a robust visit schedule.
For example, he’s expected to visit Alabama this weekend. In addition, LSU is another school he is looking into visiting as soon as his schedule allows.

Maryland doing good job with Nyckoles Harbor
But make no mistake, hometown Maryland has done a great job of recruiting Nyckoles Harbor to this point.
“A consistent school being mentioned in Harbor’s circle is Maryland,” On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons wrote earlier this week. “It is local. The staff has done a good job early. Georgia, Michigan, Oregon, Penn State, South Carolina and others are still in the mix.”
Nyckoles Harbor ranks as a five-star prospect and the No. 11 player in the country, according to the On3 Consensus, a complete and equally weighted industry-generated average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the second-best EDGE in the country in the On3 Consensus.
On3 ranks him slightly higher than others in the industry. Harbor is the No. 6 player in the On300, No. 2 EDGE and top-overall player in Washington D.C.
