Michigan State is looking for a bounce back 2023 football season but its wins won’t be coming easy. FanDuel has released some early odds and points spreads for key games this upcoming fall but the Spartans are not favorites in either of their games listed.

The first matchup is a big non-conference game against Washington. The Huskies beat Michigan State in Seattle, 39-28, behind a big day from Michael Penix Jr. this past September. Now, the Spartans will get to host the Pac-12 foe in the return trip of the home-and-home series. But Washington will enter the game as 5.5-point favorites.

The second listed game comes in middle October between Michigan State and fierce rival Michigan. The Spartans get to host the game this year but the early lines indicate that there is a wide gap between the two Mitten State rivals. The Wolverines are 15-point favorites for the game.

The 2022 Michigan State season did not according to plan as Mel Tucker’s squad went from 11-2 and a top-10 ranking to 5-7 with no bowl appearance to speak of.
