Bryce Underwood berates teammate Justice Haynes on sideline following failed drive

Tensions flared on the Michigan sideline following a series that ended in a missed field goal. And it was quarterback Bryce Underwood and running back Justice Haynes that were involved.
The brief altercation was broken up by teammates, but not before ABC’s cameras captured some of the drama. Underwood was seen stalking the sidelines when he turned around and began looking for Haynes.
As he found Haynes, he reached out and grabbed him by the left arm, turning him around. At that point, a teammate attempted to intervene, keeping himself between Bryce Underwood and Justice Haynes.
The confrontation involved some brief yelling, then Underwood headed off to his end of the bench. You can view the interaction below.
Cooler heads eventually prevailed, and the ABC cameras showed a shot of a very calm Bryce Underwood on the sidelines on the ensuing Oklahoma series. Of course, Underwood will be tested.

Bryce Underwood best freshman in CFB history?
Going into Saturday’s game at Oklahoma, one FOX Sports personality made the claim that Bryce Underwood might be the best freshman in college football history. Sure, the guy making the claim was a Michigan alum and a noted fan of the program.
But the claim still raised some eyebrows. It came on FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff.
“I would on a scale of 10, I’m like an eight (that Michigan is going to win),” Portnoy said on Big Noon Kickoff. “I think Bryce Underwood, I’ve sat with Urban (Meyer), I’ve sat with all the quarterbacks, they’re drooling about this guy Bryce Underwood. They can’t believe what they see on tape. He’s like a supernova. Now, I hope they use his legs. He didn’t run at all last week. I think they’re saving it for this week. I think he may be the single best freshman ever in college football. So I like Michigan.”
On3’s Nick Kosko also contributed to this report.
