WATCH: Jim Harbaugh helps Michigan police officer move large tree off road during ice storm

An ice storm hit much of the Midwest Wednesday night, and a Michigan police officer came across a tree blocking a road. When he went to move it, a good samaritan pulled up and jumped in to help.
That person turned out to be Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh.
Bodycam video captured the moments when the officer gave Harbaugh a pair of work gloves and they worked to remove the tree from the intersection of Devonshire and Londonderry. After about 10 minutes of work, they got a lane cleared and the two introduced themselves.
“You’re a good man,” the officer told Harbaugh.
“Hey, feel free to spread the word on that,” he joked.
Ann Arbor police thanked Harbaugh Thursday afternoon after tweeting the video of his good deed.
“We thank Coach Harbaugh for being a valued member of the Ann Arbor community and helping out Ofc Cooper,” the tweet read.
More than 17,000 people across Ann Arbor were without power at one point during the storm as trees and power lines went down, according to MLive.com. The storm hit just one day before Michigan was set to start spring practice, and Harbaugh met the media before it got underway.

During his press conference, Harbaugh provided an update on running back Blake Corum, who’s coming back from a season-ending knee injury. He said the Michigan star will not participate in any drills as he works his way back to full strength, but should be a full go by June.
“Blake Corum is not participating in drills this spring, but is still working out and keeping up with strength and conditioning,” On3 and The Wolverine’s Anthony Broome tweeted. “Harbaugh says they expect him to be full go sometime around June.”
Michigan is looking to build off a second consecutive College Football Playoff appearance, ending the 2022 season with a 13-2 record after falling to TCU in the Fiesta Bowl.
