Teammates rave about Michigan superstar signee Bryce Underwood: 'As good as advertised'

Michigan added the No. 1 player in the country this offseason when it signed quarterback Bryce Underwood. The Wolverines flipped him after a long recruiting battle with LSU.
A lot of NIL money went into the decision, and for good reason. Underwood is already delivering up in Ann Arbor.
“Yeah, Bryce is as good as advertised,” linebacker Ernest Hausmann said at Big Ten Media Days. “The thing I’m most impressed by Bryce is his maturity. You would never tell how old he is when he first came in that locker room. Just the way he conducts his business, he just fits right well with that quarterback room.”
That’s been the impression that multiple teammates have gotten to this point. Bryce Underwood has earned a place alongside his teammates thanks to his work ethic.
“My perspective on Bryce, you know, same thing. Really mature,” EDGE Derrick Moore said. “When you look at him he doesn’t look like an average 17-year-old or an average freshman. Just the way he carries himself and the way he take care of his body. Just watching him like pre-practice wise he’s out there 20, 30 minutes before by himself going over the script.

“And also he’s one of the first guys and one of the last guys that sometimes I see always in the facility, just trying to find a way to get better. That’s what I like about him.”
Now, Bryce Underwood will get his shot to show what he’s fully capable of this fall. Michigan will have some options at quarterback, but he’s almost certainly the most talented.
The good news for the Wolverines is that they seem to be pushing Bryce Underwood hard. No one is simply going to settle in at this point.
“They’re just a bunch of hard workers,” Hausmann said of the quarterback room. “They do things behind the scenes that nobody sees, that nobody knows about. And to join that room, we’re very excited to have him be part of the football team, excited to see moving forward.”
