Nebraska CB Evan Taylor has entered his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal. That comes per reporting by On3’s Pete Nakos on Tuesday with several entries this morning from the Cornhuskers.

Taylor did not appear in any games last season as a true freshman for Nebraska. He redshirted, though, which will give him all of his eligibility still to use wherever he transfers to in the spring portal.

A native of Waxhaw, North Carolina, Taylor played high school football at Cuthbertson. He was just outside the Top-1,000 overall recruits there as a three-star in the 2024 cycle. He also rated just outside the Top-100 CBs in the class and as a Top-40 player out of the state of North Carolina. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.

Again, Nebraska has lost four players to the portal this morning with Taylor as well as TE Ian Flynt, WR Hayes Miller, and OL David Borchers. That brings the Cornhuskers to eight transfers during the spring cycle and to 32 total over the course of this offseason. A pair of those have since committed elsewhere with two receivers in Hardley Gilmore (Kentucky) and Alex Bullock (South Dakota State) while DB D’Andre Barnes and P Jack McCallister are looking elsewhere as well.

Nebraska TE Ian Flynt also enters the NCAA Transfer Portal

Nebraska’s Ian Flynt entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned. He spent just one year with the Huskers.

Flynt just played in one game last season while redshirting. He made his debut against UTEP but will maintain four years of eligibility wherever he goes next.

As a member of the Class of 2024, Flynt was a three-star recruit out of Katy (Texas) Taylor, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 116 overall prospect in the state, the No. 43 tight end in the class, and the No. 756 overall prospect in the class.
