Nebraska's Matt Rhule announces launch of 'House Rhules Podcast'

Matt Rhule is a week out from kicking off his third season as head coach at Nebraska. However, this afternoon, Rhule announced his new side job with a podcast he’ll be hosting from Lincoln.
On Thursday, Rhule announced his podcast titled ‘House Rhules with Matt Rhule’. He did so with the release of its debut episode this morning.
“I know what you’re thinking – why are we doing this? Why are we taking the time to give an inside look to each and every one of you to all the great things happening here at the University of Nebraska? Man, we’re so proud of what we’re doing with our players, what we’re doing with this program and we want to give you an inside look behind the scenes, behind the curtain at a college football program. We want to talk about all the things that matter to you – college football, pop culture, young people,” Rhule said in his introduction. “You know, I’ve been hired and fired in my life. I’ve been through a lot of things.
“And, one thing I know is I’m not afraid to speak the truth, be authentic, and just be who I am. I’m Matt Rhule, and this is House Rhules.”
‘House Rhule’ dropped today on YouTube, with Rhule hosting alongside his co-host, Anthony Gargano. It features conversations with linebacker Javin Wright, as well as with Jon Gordon. It has also since been shared with social media pages on Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter.

“From building a culture in Lincoln, to the daily grind behind the scenes, to the personal side of balancing football and family, Coach Rhule opens up in a way fans rarely get to see,” the description of the pod below today’s debut episode read. “If you’ve ever wanted to know what it’s really like to sit in the head coach’s chair, this conversation pulls back the curtain.”
Rhule is 12-13 (.480) through two seasons as head coach of the ‘Huskers. There was a two-win improvement from Year 1 to Year 2, though, as Nebraska went 7-6 overall last season in reaching a bowl game for the first time since 2016. Now, based on his track record at his previous programs in college, this is a highly anticipated third year of his tenure in Lincoln.
The Cornhuskers will get to hear from Rhule throughout the weeks with his press conferences and media appearances. There’ll now be even more to hear from him, though, with this release of ‘House Rhules’ today.
