Nebraska trying to get Oregon running back transfer Dante Dowdell on January visit

Nebraska is attempting to get Oregon transfer Dante Dowdell on campus for a January visit, according to a report from HuskerOnline.

Dowdell is a former four-star prospect who committed to the Ducks and spent the 2023 season in Eugene, Ore. Dowdell played in six games as a true freshman and recorded 17 carries for 93 yards and a touchdown.

He has been in contact with the Nebraska coaching staff about a potential visit after the early signing period.

Prior to enrolling at Oregon, Dante Dowdell was a four-star prospect and the No. 139 overall recruit in the country in the 2023 recruiting class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings.

He also checked in as the No. 8 running back in the class and the No. 3 overall player in the state of Mississippi in his cycle, hailing from Picayune (MS) Picayune Memorial.
