ACC Media Days: Bill Belichick interview feed cuts out twice on TV

Fans were looking forward to hearing a lot from North Carolina’s Bill Belichick this afternoon at the 2025 ACC Media Kickoff in Charlotte. However, the Tar Heels’ new head coach got cut short as he made his rounds around the Hilton Uptown.
Belichick had just come off the podium and was beginning his interview at the desk on ‘ACC Huddle.’ It was at that point that the feed cut out on the ACC Network, with it being sent to a commercial break twice as the issue was being fixed.
Belichick got a lot of his points out at his actual press conference at the event while also making his way around the hotel on Thursday. That just didn’t include his platform on the ACC Network, with the channel unable to recover the feed in time to get back to arguably their conference’s biggest story coming into this season.
ESPN announces College Football Countdown Show on site of Bill Belichick’s debut at North Carolina
ESPN will host a special one-hour College Football Countdown studio show live from Kenan Stadium on Monday, September 1st, ahead of North Carolina‘s highly-anticipated season opener against TCU, the program announced on Thursday. Not only does the matchup between the Tar Heels and Horned Frogs help begin this upcoming season, but it marks the first game for Bill Belichick at UNC.

ESPN’s Matt Barrie will host the show and will be joined by Tedy Bruschi, Desmond Howard, Pat McAfee, and Nick Saban as well as Pete Thamel. Rece Davis and Kirk Herbstreit will call the game that night while Barrie and Howard will provide halftime coverage.
The college football world is expected to have all eyes on the first game of the Belichick era. That started after Belichick, who coached 24 seasons with the New England Patriots, where he won six Super Bowls and led the Pats to a 266-121 record, chose to come to college to continue his coaching career in Chapel Hill. It’s then continued the spotlight on him this offseason, especially after the tumultuous offseason centered around him and his girlfriend in Jordon Hudson.
This opening game should be an absolute spectacle come kickoff, scheduled for 8:00 p.m. EST, 7:00 p.m. CT on September 1st. ESPN is making it even more of one now with the crew they’ll have that day at UNC.
