North Carolina DL Travis Shaw enters the NCAA Transfer Portal

North Carolina DL Travis Shaw has entered his name in the NCAA Transfer Portal.
Shaw has spent the past three seasons with the Tar Heels and appeared in 35 games for UNC. In those outings, he had 51 tackles and four deflections.
That includes this past fall where Shaw had a career-high in tackles with 22.
Shaw, a Greensboro native, played high school football at Grimsley. He was the No. 49 overall recruit there as a four-star prospect in the 2022 cycle. That’s according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also rated as the No. 8 DL in the class and the No. 1 player out of North Carolina. That made him the second highest-rated signee for the program that year, as they finished with the No. 10 class in On3’s 2022 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings, behind only OT Zach Rice
