Jones has been a hot name around the coaching rumor mill since taking over at Indiana in 2020, where he helped lead the Hoosiers to a 6-2 record. Indiana’s secondary picked up 13 interceptions out of 17 for the team in the eight games, and Jones has continued to be a force with his players and as a recruiter.
In his playing days, Jones was a two-year starter for the Crimson Tide and appeared in three bowl games. Jones was also a member of the 1999 Southeastern Conference title-winning team. His coaching resume includes stops at Tulsa, Rice, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Florida Atlantic and Indiana.
