Pablo Torre answers if Jordon Hudson played a role in Bill Belichick not getting an NFL job

Pablo Torre’s been all over the Jordon Hudson–Bill Belichick relationship this month, proving more details into her role in Belichick’s coaching career. Now, Torre speculated if Hudson played a role in Belichick not landing an NFL gig following the end of his New England Patriots tenure.

The legendary coach spent time on television and off the coaching sidelines in 2024 but is returning this fall for North Carolina. It’s still weird seeing him as the head coach of a college program, but he’s ready for this final chapter of his career.

But if you go back to the last coaching cycle in early 2024, Belichick expressed interest in a few teams and even interviewed with the Atlanta Falcons twice. Still, he was passed up and Torre broke down an interesting scenario regarding Belichick and Hudson.

“The reason why it’s relevant to me, is because I have been thinking about how to confirm just the timeline of when they started dating,” Torre said on Pardon My Take. “And so, you know, when Big Cat is asking, like, isn’t this kind of like, you have a friend who has this significant other that you don’t like and are afraid to say? So, the other parallel question I have from real life is like, when did Bill Belichick DTR? 

“How does one define the relationship with Bill Belichick? Because what I can tell you is that people started seeing Jordon Hudson in Bill Belichick’s … So there are these outdoor seats he has, not in a box, but in Gillette, like out in the end zone. I think it’s section 120 although not reporting that. I’m just that’s what I’ve been told to section 120 ish. And in November 2021, Jordan Hudson was sitting there.” 

So if Torre’s reporting is accurate, Hudson spent some time around Belichick while with the New England Patriots following their encounter on a plane. While it doesn’t confirm if Hudson affected Belichick’s PR in terms of getting a job with another NFL franchise, it’s an interesting addition to the relationship timeline.

“Is that having DTR’d, is that just like, oh, a guest, a friend, like, right,” Torre said. “Are they friends with any degree of whatever, like, I don’t know, but I just know that it happened very soon after they met on that plane in February 2021, in terms of her showing up around the Patriots. So this was definitely during his NFL tenure in a quite noticeable way.”
