Pablo Torre: 'Real chance' Bill Belichick never coaches UNC amid Jordon Hudson drama

Pablo Torre doubled down on his Bill Belichick and then followed up by saying there’s a “real chance” that Belichick never coaches at North Carolina. Amid the drama with his girlfriend and “creative muse” Jordon Hudson, Torre thinks that initial June buyout, which was questioned from the onset, could be a real possibility.
Belichick’s buyout goes from $10 million to $1 million on June 1st. Many circled that as a way for the coach to return to the NFL, although that scenario never seemed realistic.
Now, it may not be out of the realm of possibility that Belichick doesn’t make it to the UNC sidelines in September. Torre previously reported Hudson was banned from the Tar Heel facility, despite the latter denying that claim. The drama seems to be never-ending.
“I think there’s a chance, an absolutely real chance, that he doesn’t (coach Week 1),” Torre said on The Domonique Foxworth Show. “And the reason I say that is because even before the Jordon Hudson thing became as public, even before it went from messy backstage to now obviously messy everywhere, the date that matters the most is June 1.
“So when this contract was reported, when the terms of Belichick’s Carolina contract that made him the highest paid public employee in the state were announced, everybody who follows contractual language pointed out that on June 1, the buyout of Bill Belichick goes from $10 million to $1 million if Bill wanted the escape hatch, right? So if he wanted out suddenly, it was very interesting that the amount got 10 times less after June 1.”
Over the last few months, Hudson has adopted a greater role in and around Belichick, effectively serving as the six-time Super Bowl champion coach’s personal PR representative. A recent report in The Athletic revealed Hudson’s email signature identified her as the chief operating officer (COO) of Belichick Productions, though no applicable business is registered under that name.

Hudson’s involvement in Belichick’s public life became a national talking point in the wake of a disastrous recent interview with CBS Sunday Morning in which Hudson exerted undue influence. The interview, which was intended to promote Belichick’s upcoming memoir, “The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football,” reportedly went off the rails when Hudson allegedly stormed off the set, delaying shooting for 30 minutes, according to a report from TMZ. Over the subsequent weeks, multiple additional stories have emerged that shed light on Hudson’s growing influence on Belichick.
That has included Hudson allegedly forcing her way onto the set of Dunkin’ Donuts’ Super Bowl commercial that also starred Belichick and famous actors Ben and Casey Affleck. Torre previously revealed in February that Hudson was acting like Belichick’s “de facto agent” prior to Super Bowl LIX.
“And so the question everybody is asking is, are things so dysfunctional behind the scenes, when it comes to the power struggle, when it comes to what they are telling Bill to do, don’t have Jordon around anymore, stop behaving in the way that you have basically telling him for the first time, really, that you’re an employee and not the boss of this building in the way that he may have been assuming he would be,” Torre said. “Then there is the ability for him to get out of it.
“And that’s before you even consider the fact that stuff is so crazy when it comes to how his family feels, how the people around the school feel, that there is this larger ‘Hey, so coach met this woman when she was 19 years old on an airplane and now she’s kind of running his public image as his girlfriend.’ Is this something that’s sustainable? Is that fireable? What does he have to do to get fired? These are all active questions.”
