4-star CB Blake Woodby decommits from Ohio State
Baltimore St. Frances Academy four-star cornerback Blake Woodby has decommitted from Ohio State, he told On3’s Hayes Fawcett on Thursday.
Woodby had been a member of Ohio State’s 2025 class since October 14.
He is the nation’s No. 65 overall prospect, No. 7 cornerback and No. 2 recruit from Maryland in the 2025 cycle according to the On3 Industry Ranking — a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
Oregon has been one school involved in Woodby’s recruitment. The staff in Eugene has kept up communication with him throughout the process.
“It’s been going good,” he told Scoop Duck last month of the communication from the Oregon staff. “Coach (Rashad) Wadood, that’s one of my favorite coaches that recruited me throughout my process when my recruitment was open. So want a chance to go see him, go and see Coach Hamp (Chris Hampton). It’s a good opportunity.”

One reason for Woodby staying interested in Oregon is true freshman corner Ify Obidegwu — Woodby’s high school teammate.
“Just being able to see myself playing with my old teammate Ify Obidegwu, that’s definitely a good opportunity. Being able to get coached by some good coaches, good defensive-minded coaches. Coach Tosh (Lupoi), good dude. Coach (Dan) Lanning, defensive-minded coach, definitely a good opportunity.”
