4-star WR Taz Williams locks in Ohio State official visit

Red Oak (Texas) four-star wide receiver Taz Williams Jr. has a busy spring on tap, and he’s expected to do the same again this summer.
Last month, Williams told On3 he has visits locked in to Texas A&M (March 26), Alabama (April 1), Michigan (April 7), Ohio State (April 8), and Texas (April 20).
Those trips are in addition to an official visit scheduled to USC on May 17. And now, according to On3’s Chad Simmons, Williams has a second OV on the books — he will head back to Ohio State on May 31 for another visit to the Buckeyes.
Ohio State, Alabama are making a push in his recruitment
While both in-state programs are looking to keep him at home, Alabama, Michigan and Ohio State are among those nationally who would like to add him to their 2025 class.
After the new staff arrived in Alabama, they wasted no time reaching out to the four-star WR from Red Oak (Texas) High School in Texas.

“Just the culture,” Williams told On3’s BamaOnline on his relationship with JaMarcus Shephard.
“I feel like the new coaching staff can keep up with the culture that Alabama has. Everybody knows Alabama for winning. I feel like with the new coaching staff — the head coach and Coach Shep — they both came from Washington and were just in the national championship. They’ve got better recruits, so I feel like it’s going to be better.”
Ohio State hosted Williams for a visit last year at this time when they extended him an offer.
“We started talking about the school, what [Ohio State] brings, about my recruitment and what I’m looking for in a school,” Williams told Lettermen Row following his visit last spring. “And then we started talking about him and his family, my family.”
“When he offered me it just made my day,” Williams added. “Ohio State has always been a top school of mine and for the head coach to offer, it just means a lot.”
The 6-foot, 181-pounder ranks as the No. 276 overall prospect and No. 38 wideout in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
