Elite 2026 WR Chris Henry Jr. commits to Ohio State

The success of Ohio State wide receivers coach Brian Hartline on the recruiting trail continues. Elite 2026 Cincinnati (Ohio) Withrow wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. has announced his commitment to the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Henry committed to the Buckeyes on Friday during Ohio State’s SummerFest event.
“When I watch Marv and Jeremiah, I can see myself in that position,” Henry told Lettermen Row in June. “If I ever get to speak with them and learn some things from them I definitely will.”
Ohio State continues WR recruiting success
The Buckeyes have put together an impressive resume at the receiver position over recent years. Notable NFL receivers under Brian Hartline include Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson and Terry McLaurin. The current Buckeyes receiver room includes a number of potential first-round picks, and Ohio State’s 2024 class consists of two five-star pass catchers.
“I have a great relationship with Coach Hartline and I like how he coaches,” Henry told On3 Director of Recruiting Chad Simmons back in May. “Ohio State is starting to look like WRU and they’re recruiting me hard already.”

The son of former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry, Henry Jr. originally picked up his Ohio State offer after camping with the Buckeyes just over a year ago.
“I think he liked my ability to track the ball down and my speed. And I’m a very coachable player. I was [surprised],” Henry Jr. told Lettermen Row about his Buckeyes offer. “But I think I earned it because I worked for it. But it just makes me want to get better.”
Henry currently has an On3 NIL Valuation of $24K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
