Henry Kaczmar is returning to Columbus. After starting his college baseball career with Ohio State before taking his talents to South Carolina for the 2025 season, he’ll return to the Buckeyes via the NCAA Transfer Portal, On3 has learned.

Kaczmar spent two seasons with Ohio State, playing in Columbus in 2023 and 2024. He transferred to South Carolina for 2025, and now he’ll return to the Buckeyes for 2026. All in all, he’s hit .309 during his college baseball career, amassing 190 hits, 27 doubles, 20 home runs and 110 RBIs.

This past season saw Ohio State go 13-37. The Buckeyes only won five Big Ten Conference games. With Kaczmar returning, they’re hoping he brings a renewed energy to the team, after spending a season in Columbia.

FanDuel has released odds for the upcoming CWS, ranking the eight-team field. With the SEC having a pair of teams still alive, those two find themselves at the top. While one of the two non-power conference teams is at the bottom.

An entertaining tournament is set to take place in the coming days, with Game 1 and Game 2 unfolding on Friday. Before then, you can check out who the oddsmakers like to dogpile when everything is said and done.
